What is happening with the physical Crunchyroll Expo 2020 show?

We are very sad to announce that Crunchyroll Expo, at least in its usual physical form, will not take place this year. The health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is our number one priority and given the unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 virus, we believe this is the right decision.

Will there be a Crunchyroll Expo in 2021?

We are happy to announce that Crunchyroll Expo 2021 will be held on August 6-8, 2021 at the San Jose Convention Center.

How do I obtain a refund for my ticket to Crunchyroll Expo 2020?

To receive a full refund of your Crunchyroll Expo 2020 tickets, please click here and fill out the required information by July 10th 2020. Pending a high volume of requests,, please allow 30 days for your refund request to be processed. If you do not see a refund after 30 days, or if you have additional questions, please contact us at: CrunchyrollExpoInfo@reedexpo.com

Can I transfer my ticket to Crunchyroll Expo 2021?

Yes! If you’d like to transfer your ticket to Crunchyroll Expo 2021, no additional action is required. Your tickets will automatically be transferred to Crunchyroll Expo 2021. A new confirmation e-mail will be sent to you within the next 6-8 weeks.

How do I apply to be on the Crunchyroll Expo Crew?

Due to the unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 virus, we have cancelled the physical Crunchyroll Expo for 2020. Crew applications for the 2021 Crunchyroll Expo will be posted in Summer 2021.

What if I had a hotel reservation made with the 2020 physical show?

Anyone who purchased a hotel room within our hotel block should have already received an email about their hotel booking cancellation and refund. If you have any additional questions about your hotel reservations, we recommend reaching out directly to the hotel your reservation is for, or contacting customer service directly through the confirmation received when originally booking. 

What if I submitted fan programming for Crunchyroll Expo?

We thank all those who submitted fan programming for Crunchyroll Expo 2020. Look for updates from the Crunchyroll Expo team soon.

What if I was supposed to exhibit at Crunchyroll Expo 2020?

Exhibitors who purchased booth space for this year’s event will have the option to receive a full refund or transfer your booth space to next year’s event. Expect to hear from a Crunchyroll Expo exhibitor representative soon. If you have any immediate questions, you can reach out to your Crunchyroll Expo sales representative.

What if I applied for a Media Badge at this year’s Crunchyroll Expo?

Due to the unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 virus, we have cancelled the physical Crunchyroll Expo for 2020. The Crunchyroll Expo media team will keep you posted with updates on other exciting ways we plan to bring our community together under the Crunchyroll Expo banner this year.
